Medical Benefits

Active Employees and Non-Medicare Retirees are allowed the choice of enrolling in one of two Plans: The Indemnity Medical Plan or the Kaiser Permanente HMO Plan.

Under the Indemnity Medical Plan your medical benefit network is provided by Anthem Blue Cross PPO. To get the most out of your benefits, it is best to use a provider that participates in the Anthem Blue Cross PPO network. In order to enroll under the Kaiser Permanente HMO Plan as an Active Employee, you must live or work within Kaiser’s HMO Service Area. Please note Kaiser does not provide health benefits for participants outside the state of California. To get the most out of your benefits, it is best to use a provider that participates in the Kaiser network. Retirees on Medicare that live in the state of California are allowed the choice of enrolling in one of two Plans: The Supplemental Program or the Kaiser Permanente Senior Advantage Plan.

Under the Supplemental Program, your supplemental provider is the Trust Fund’s Medicare Supplemental Program. They can be reached at

In Order to enroll under the Kaiser Permanente Senior Advantage Plan you must live within Kaiser’s Senior Advantage Service Area. Please note Kaiser does not provide health benefits for participants outside the state of California.

For Retirees on Medicare that live outside the state of California, your supplemental provider is The Trust Funds Medicare Supplement program. They can be reached at

Prescription Benefits

For Active Employees, Non-Medicare Retirees or Medicare Retirees in or outside the state of California enrolled under the Indemnity Medical Plan or the Medicare Supplemental Program, your prescription coverage will be provided by Envision Pharmaceutical Services (Envision RX).They can be reached at (800) 361-4542.

For Active Employees, Non-Medicare Retirees or Medicare Retirees inside the state of California enrolled under the Kaiser Permanente HMO Plan or the Kaiser Senior Advantage Plan, your prescription coverage will be provided by Kaiser Permanente. They can be reached at (800) 464-4000.

Dental Benefits

Your dental benefit network is provided by Delta Dental. Using a participating provider that accepts the Delta Dental network will ensure that you get the most out of your dental benefits provided by the Plan. Effective January 1, 2018 the Hazardous Material Helper Participants and 1st Year Apprentices are entitled to dental benefits under DeltaCare. Using a participating provider that accepts the DeltaCare network will ensure that you get the most out of your dental benefits provided by the Plan. Vision Benefits

Your vision benefit network is provided by VSP. Using a participating provider that accepts the VSP network will ensure that you get the most out of your vision benefits provided by the Plan.
