Health Care

Q. Who is eligible to become a Participant in the Plan?
A. Any person working in Covered Employment for which fringe benefit contributions are made on that person's behalf, pursuant to a Collective Bargaining Agreement, or other written Agreement.
Q. How do I become eligible under the Plan?
A. To initially establish coverage under the Plan, you must meet one of the following two rules:  you must be credited with at least 405 contribution hours within a four (4) consecutive calendar month period and coverage will begin on the first day of the second month following, or as an alternative, be credited with at least 560 hours within a twelve (12) month period and coverage will begin on the on the second and third months following. 
Q. What happens to hours I work in excess of 135?
A. Any hours you work over the required 135 will be put in an hour bank for you to use during months that you work less than 135.

Pension

Q. Who is eligible to participate in this Plan?
A. Any individual covered by the Union's Collective bargaining Agreement who is employed by a contributing employer
Q. What is a Plan Year?
A. (June 1 through May 31)
Q. When do I become vested?
A. When you acquire 500 or more  Hours of Service in any 3 consecutive Plan Years.

Vacation

Q. How does this Plan Work?
A. Money is deducted from the net pay of Abatement workers in the employ of contributing employers.
Q. When will my vacation money be distributed?
A. The Plan has two annual distributions, on or about the 1st f May and November of each year. You may also elect to receive two elective distributions during the Plan Year, one between November 1 and April 30, and one between May 1 and October 31. However you will be charged an administrative fee of $50.00 if an elective distribution is chosen.
Q. When can my beneficiary receive benefits?
A. Upon death, the amount of vacation contributions with which a participant has been credited may be paid to the named beneficiary without the necessity of waiting until the next distribution date. If no beneficiary was named, the benefit shall be payable first to the surviving legal spouse, if any, then to surviving children, if any, in equal shares, and finally to his estate, in that order.
