A notice regarding the implementation of the Kaiser Pay to Provider Program and a Q & A sheet regarding the program is scheduled to be mailed to participants of the Solano-Napa Counties Electrical Workers Health & Welfare Plan on Thursday, November 5, 2015.
The notice provides participants with information regarding a change in the way their deductible and coinsurance is reimbursed for by the Trust. Currently participants have to pay at the point of service and submit paper claims to the Trust Fund office for reimbursement. Under the Pay to Provider program effective January 1, 2016 participants will no longer be required to pay the cost of their deductible or coinsurance up front and file a claim for reimbursement. Instead Kaiser will bill the Plan directly to ease the burden on the membership.
