Frequently Asked Vacation Questions


Q. Where can I find the amount of Supplemental Dues to claim as a tax deduction?
A.

The amount of Supplemental Dues paid in a calendar year will appear on the following January monthly status report which is issued each February.

Q. Can I have my Early Issue Vacation check direct deposited?
A.No. Direct Deposit is only an option for the Annual Distribution.
Q. Are there any deductions withheld from my vacation check?
A. Taxes are not withheld from your vacation check. However, if you have signed a PAC agreement a deduction of $.05 per hour worked is withheld from your check.
Q. Do I have to wait until November to receive my Vacation money?
A. Members can apply for an Early Issue vacation check during the months of January through October.  However, there is a $75.00 fee charged for each check issued prior to the annual distribution. 
Q. When will I get any vacation money that was not remitted by my employer for the hours worked in October through September?
A. Delinquent contributions remitted to the Vacation Fund on your behalf and received by the end of the calendar year will be paid in a second distribution in January.
Q. When can I expect to receive my vacation check from the annual distribution?
A.

The annual Vacation Fund distribution occurs on the Friday prior to Thanksgiving.

Q. What months are included on my vacation check from the annual distribution?
A.Contributions remitted to the Vacation Fund on your behalf for the work months of October through September are included in the annual distribution.
