    New Maternity Leave Benefit

    The Board of Trustees are pleased to provide a new benefit under the Plan – Paid Maternity Leave Program! Beginning April 1, 2022, the Plan will offer eligible Participants with a Paid Maternity Leave Benefit. This new benefit program provides benefit program provides benefits for pregnancy (pre-delivery/birth) for a maximum of six (6) months and post-delivery/birth for a maximum benefit of six (6) weeks or eight (8) weeks for cesarean birth.     How to get reimbursed for your At-Home Over-the-Counter COVID-19 Tests

    Beginning January 15, 2022, and until the end of the Federal Mandate, the Employee Painters’ Trust (the “Plan”) is required to cover the cost of Over-the-Counter, at-home COVID-19 tests. This new coverage requirement means that as a Plan Participant you can go online, to a pharmacy or a store, buy a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved test and get reimbursed for your out-of-pocket expenses. The Plan is required to cover 8 free Over-the-Counter at-home tests per covered individual per month.

    Elixir, the Plan’s Prescription Drug Network/Vendor, has implemented a claim reimbursement submission process for you to receive a reimbursement for eligible out of pocket expenses. Elixir provides you with a simplified approach for reimbursement of eligible expenses. Through Elixir you will have access to an electronic reimbursement submission process via your Elixir Member Portal. Go to and use the REGISTER OR LOGIN button to access your Member Portal account. If you don’t already have an account setup with Elixir, you will need to do this first. Once Logged in there will be a COVID-19 TEST REIMBURSEMENT icon on the Welcome screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your request. To complete your request, you will need:

    ·         Itemized receipt(s) of COVID-19 tests showing the date of purchase, location of purchase and cost of tests.

    ·         Original or photocopy of the UPC (Universal Product Code symbols from purchased products.

    ·         Number of tests purchased for each covered person.
