About Your Pension

The San Diego Bartenders and Culinary Workers Pension Trust Fund was established January 1, 1968. Today the name of the Fund is the San Diego UNITE HERE Pension Plan. The Plan has been amended many times since then and the current Summary Plan Description includes all of those changes made through January 1, 2011.

The Pension Plan has been established to provide you with retirement benefits that, in addition to your Social Security benefits, will help you enjoy your years of retirement. Death benefits are also provided for the security of you and your family.

You should keep your Summary Plan Description with your other important papers so that you may refer to it when you terminate, change jobs, or retire. A copy of the Summary Plan Description is available for download from this site.
