IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Board of Trustees of the Idaho Pipe Trades Health & Welfare Trust is pleased to inform you that, effective October 1, 2023, the Trust is switching from OptumRx to Express Scripts (ESI) as the Trust’s prescription drug program provider. OptumRx will continue to provide its prescription drug program services on your behalf through September 30, 2023. Note that this change will not affect our Plan’s benefit structure. Formulary Brand named drugs will continue to be covered with a $40.00 Copay and generic drugs will continue to be covered with a $20.00 Copay. You will receive new prescription drug ID cards in the mail mid to late September. Set them aside in a safe place and start using the new ESI ID card October 1, 2023.

The Idaho Pipe Trades Health and Welfare Trust coverage is carried through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Idaho. Benefits include Medical, Dental and Vision coverage. Prescription drug benefits are carried by OptumRx. Please see the Summary Plan Description under Documents > Health Care for addtional details of participation, eligibility, and other provisions.
