Q. How many current credits do I have?
A.

Current credits are based upon hours worked in the previous calendar year and are eligible to be used in the current calendar year.

Q. How many reserve credits do I have?
A.

Reserve credits are based upon hours worked in the current calendar year and are eligible to be used in the next calendar year.

Q.Do I need to submit a new application for each lay off, short week, or period of disability?
A.
Yes, it's necessary to submit a new application for each lay off, short work week, and period of disability. For your convenience, application forms are available in the forms section. 
Q. What do I do if I don't have a termination slip?
A.
You will need to contact the Local Union 33 office and give them your lay off information. The Local will generate a termination notice for you.
Q. What if I have exhausted my Unemployment benefits?
A.

If you have exhausted your Unemployment benefits, you will need to contact the Local Union 33 office to complete the affidavit. 

Q. What is the SUB benefit amount as of today?
A. The SUB benefit pays $50.00 per credit.
Q.Where do I send my application and updates for my SUB benefit?
A. You can fax your forms to (248) 556-2593, email your forms to smw33@subfund.org, or mail to PO Box 4450, Troy, MI 48099-4450. 
Q. What day are SUB checks issued? 
A. SUB checks are issued every Friday. 
Q. What is the hour requirement to receive SUB benefits for a short work week? 
A. To be eligible to receive SUB benefits for a short work week, you must have worked 16 hours or less in one week.
Q. What do I need to submit when applying for SUB benefits for a short work week?  
A. You will need to submit a completed application and a copy of your paystub for the week(s) you are claiming. For your convenience, the application form is available in the forms section.
