Q.

I am ready to retire, what do I need to do?

A.Contact the benefit office at least 90 days prior to your desired retirement date to request a retirement application packet.  Retirement dates are always the first day of any month.  At a minimum, you will be asked to fill out the application forms and to provide photocopies of your birth certificate, spouse's birth certificate and your marriage certificate (if married and the Joint & Survivor Annuity is selected.)

Q.

How soon can I retire if I want to retire before age 65?

A.A Participant may elect “Early Retirement” as early as the first day of any month on or after reaching age 55. Should you elect to retire and draw benefits before reaching age 65, the amount of your monthly pension benefit will be reduced for each month that your early retirement date precedes your normal retirement date.
