The Welfare Fund provides medical, dental, prescription drug, death and accidental death and dismemberment benefits. You are eligible to participate in the Plan when you fall into one of the three classes of Employees on whose behalf a signatory employer is required to make contributions to the Plan on your behalf. There are different beginning dates for benefits under the Plan. Please refer to your Summary Plan Description for these details.

When you become eligible for medical coverage, you will be enrolled in Kaiser Permanente. Dental coverage is provided through United Concordia and prescription drug coverage will be provided by Express Scripts, Inc. These benefit programs are also described in documents available from this website. Your death and accidental dismemberment benefits will be provided through the Welfare Fund.

Your dental benefits are determined by the specific dental plan to which you are assigned (CA1346, CA1321 and CA1301), which is determined by the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement under which you are covered.
